The Alien Planet by Ardra

As I slowly got out of the time machine, I could smell a tropical breeze and a hot sun. It felt like it was smiling at me.I saw a clump of nature and all of them waving at me and welcoming me to come. I touched all the rainbow flowers it felt like I was touching feathers.Having decided to move on a bit further to see more, I then saw a barren white desert which was as hot as the centre of the earth. In the blink of an eye the sun changed to boiling hot and I had to run away, because it was so hot and I was going to get sunburnt. It suddenly stopped, so I touched the ground. It just slowly dripped off my hand like string. I went on and on out of the desert and the weather changed again. The temperature dropped to freezing -30 degrees. It was suddenly cold and snowing or a blizzard was going to start. I ran back to where the time machine was to go to the tropical weather.

When I got there I felt hungry so I went ahead and touched a fruit which looked like a pineapple but it smelt like chocolate. I wanted to eat it but I thought it was poisonous, so I did not eat it. After a few hours I felt some rain. It was screaming! I needed some shelter but where can I get some in the screaming rain. I went ahead and found some sticks which were long and thin. Then I saw something pink and fluffy it almost looked like hay. I ate some and I found out it was cotton candy. I had an idea to make a house with that but I wanted to look around a bit more. Then the rain calmed down a little but I felt some on my lips and it tasted like slush. I liked it so I went on and ate some more. I looked up and the rain stopped. I saw a palm tree, the leaves looked like they were gummy and the trunk looked like chocolate. I ate some – it tasted so smooth and so silky. I wandered if there were some rivers around them, then I suddenly found one. I felt it and it was as sticky as glue. The river was dancing up and down.

As I stepped out of my massive rainbow coloured time machine strange animals that looked like dragons welcomed me. Far away, I could see a strange animal that looked like a leopard and glowing flowers that were hanging from the trees. There was a pineapple tree as tall as a volcano. The leaves change colour from blue to purple to pink. The ground was covered with water which was constantly changing colour and a strange bright, white light seemed to be coming through from the bottom of the lake. Puzzled, I rolled forward. Under my feet I could feel the water flowing under my shoes. I could smell the breeze of pineapple. All of a sudden I heard an echoing sound. Slowly, I turned around, I could not believe my eyes. There was a boat which had crashed from far away which made the echoing sound. Suddenly my watch started to beep. It was time to go back to earth.

The planet looked like Antarctica. It smelt like a rubbish tip. I saw rubbish flying around and I heard blowing winds. I tasted rain in my mouth. It was as cold as a freezer and the wind was as strong as a wrestler. It was whistling at me and the clouds were crying.

As I nervously stepped out, cold and hot smacked me at the same time. I was surrounded; trees on my left and rocks on my right. I took a giant leap to my left. I felt as if I had entered a new world. I was trapped in a world of beauty with water trickling down rocks as if it was being poured out of a jug. The trees were calling me and brushed my shoulders as I passed through them. Their green, clear leaves were soft and gentle, stroking me with pleasure. I had blinked once and then, not daring to blink again, I saw a lake, a clear blue lake, swimming away but coming back again. There was a bridge which was bluey green with a touch of pink and red flowers twisting around it. The bridge looked stable to me so slowly, step by step. I walked across. The shimmering water flowed gently with natural beauty. Then I looked at the beautiful flowers of rainbow colours hanging from the brown branches that were leaning over the lake. Suddenly I felt a chill feeling crawl down my spine, making me shiver. I turned around and there right in front of me stood a tiny, little figure, blue in fact, looking at me. It, she actually, was like a little fashion model you would see on television with her light blue hair swaying from side to side. She had an orangey red dress which was trailing behind her. Her tiny, delicate feet were wearing light mini glass slippers. She backed up into the darkness.

Soon after, she came back but with loads of others, the same apart from the hair and the face. Some were females, some were males, some had short hair, some had long, some had red rose lips some had tulip pink. They were dancing round me, smiling at me. They were leading me somewhere. I decided I could trust them, so I followed, feeling the tree trunks that were as soft as a baby’s bottom and jumping on the smooth stepping stones like marshmallow trampolines. Then I tripped up on a mine on the floor and fell into the lake. I could hear the water but I wasn’t in it. I opened my eyes and was hanging off a tree. So, trying not to panic, I clung on for my life. This was a question of life or death.

I nervously crept out to a mysterious planet, my heart pumping at one hundred miles an hour. It was like night and day all at once, and an invisible sun glistened on the frosted grass. The floor was practically blue mist and my foot was sinking through it. Suddenly, out of nowhere, loads of wind came screaming towards me. Everything was being blown around and the taste of salted caramel drifted into my mouth. There was a dark cave, as black as coal. Gradually I began walking around, stopping and staring at everything that awaited me in my path. The grass was as smooth as silk, the clouds were as fluffy as teddy bears and the weather could change at the blink of an eye. WOW! I didn’t want to think about leaving; however, I was aware that time was passing by. Very quickly. Then all of a sudden I noticed a lake, a magnificent blue lake that danced around the whole planet without a care in the world. There were delicate lily pads dancing elegantly across the water. The lake didn’t look like any lake I had ever seen so I became more and more curious.

I reluctantly pointed the tip of my finger out towards the lake and touched it

Everything had frozen.

I felt as if I was in the Arctic during winter taking an ice bath. With no clothes on! The beautiful silky grass had turned into frozen, mushy goo. The white, fluffy clouds had turned into dark rain clouds. What had I done? I then saw a huge, enormous leaf. I thought that I might be able to use it as a blanket but as soon as I had touched it, it turned to dust.

As I stepped out, I felt nervous and excited all at once. I felt my feet sink into piles and piles of deep, crunchy snow. When I started walking, the snow was up to my waist and I felt like I had been jammed in a freezer for a year. The snow was still getting deeper. As if I could swim in it. But it was cold. Way too cold! The snow stopped getting deeper and carried on the way it was. I could see something in the distance but I couldn’t make out what it was. Getting faster, I made my way to it. But just before I could make it out, I tripped over something in the ground. I dug a hole in the snow to find out what it really was. It was a root from a tree. I looked up, and standing right in the middle of nowhere was a tree, a dead tree, an enormous dead tree that was wobbling in the wind. The howling wind rocked me back and forth until I fell to the ground, shivering in the snow. As I looked at the tree once again, it wasn’t there. It was on the floor rolling around in the wind. It must have fallen down in the wind the same as I had done only a few seconds ago. I didn’t hear it because I had fallen into the snow at the same time as the tree and because the snow was was so deep and a little bit soft.

I stood up and walked over to the fallen tree and touched it. It was as cold as ice. I moved away quickly as I felt my hand freezing up. Soon I started climbing on to the top of the log, feeling as if I was the Queen. Suddenly my foot slipped and I fell feet first into the snow. I felt like I had a blanket of snow covering me. I dared to move. The wind was howling and I was cold!

The boat flew out of the gun. I looked up and saw a beautiful planet ahead of me. The hills looked like a carpet and there were brightly coloured trees which had leaves falling like raindrops. There was a sea that drifted in as a mother holds her child. Over the moor there was something quite different. There was no colour and wonderland. It was cold and dark. It was a petrified jungle. Inside, there were bright lights glowing like the sun. It was weird because no human could live here, so I investigated what was there. The earth was soft until the jungle. Once I took a few paces it became clear to me. Something lived here and I had to stop. I took hold of a branch and put it in the gun to observe later. It snapped off as though it was a piece of glitter not stuck to paper. I carried on walking, which was not fun, until I saw it. It was a city. I carefully strolled to the gate. The city was enormous and full of colour. I heard a familiar noise that sounded like a robot and a human voice I had not heard before. Soon it became night and I had nowhere to stay but to go into the city. Who would have thought danger was ahead of me. The city was a dome but on the outside all you could see was a square shape building. There were balconies hanging from it. The colours were gold and red and looked like a mansion.

As IĀ stepped out of my time machine onto the warm, smooth grass with bare feet, I sank and it tickled my toes until I fell on the floor. It was dark as the night sky, the chill rushing across my face, turning me into an ice cube. I decided to walk further – it got warmer and warmer and warmer. Then a flower fragrance wafted into my face calling and leading me to the most fragile, beautiful and creamiest flowers ever. So I took a great big breath, breathing the terrific smell, suddenly sneezing all over them.

“Aaaagghh, ! I said as they were snapping at my feet but it tickled so no bother. It got really hot now; I started to sweat buckets. Thankfully I got myself off the ground and dragged myself across the boiling forest.

Then I saw some cute, friendly animals roaming towards me. Carefully I put mu hand out to touch and stroke them but they sniffed my hand and backed up, thinking I was danger.

“I won’t hurt you, don’t worry,” I said as I walked towards them. The animals felt soft and smooth as the fur ran across my hands. Gradually they became fond of me, clutched my cotton, silk dress and pulled me over to a cave where vines hung and moss grew in a blink of an eye. At this I was about to collapse from the heat and shaking from fear of the darkness of the cave. I took a closer look at the animal. It looked like a warm, furred cat at the front and a cold polar bear at the back. So I stoked its head. Boiling! Then I stroked its tail.

“You’re f..f…f…free…zing.”

Suddenly it talked to me.

“Oh, you didn’t know, animals that were born here were born on the line,” it said, out of breath from running.

“What’s the line?” I moaned because of the heat.

“It’s cold on one side and hot on the other.”

As I walked through the glowing, deep blue doors of this machine thingy, I felt the soft floaty feeling of the cloudy landscape. Where was I? Was I floating in the clouds? I drifted floatily over to a silver floaty looking tree. But it wasn’t a normal tree. As the time went by I looked around at the beautiful landscape of the clouds. Then I bent over and felt the grassy cloudy floor. It almost felt like floaty slime. It was sticky and squishy. I felt like I was flying. Was I actually though? I jumped up and …I WAS flying! I flew around the area and saw the landscape. This was the most beautiful bird I’ve ever seen. It was as beautiful as a foreign galaxy. The grass whistled a little tune at me. Then I suddenly I heard a noise. It sounded like a horse. It sounded like it was very agitated. I flew around to see where it was coming from. Was that?…no way…

As I stepped out, the wind started screaming at me and it was only then I realised we landed in a swamp.

“Oh well,” I sighed. I walked blindly across until I tripped and fell against a bulky tree.

“Ow!” I yelled.

The trunk was hard and spiky; however, when I stroked the leaves they squidged like marshmallows. They weren’t flat either. Soon after that I picked a handful. You never know they might be handy. In a twinkling of an eye it was dark and I ran for shelter. It wasn’t long before I was back at the time machine; meanwhile I ran tests on the leaves. Luckily I had a bed in there so I slept. In the morning I had explored some more. I found a bush full of … raspberries? I had also found a fiver. I had to take a sip – that was followed with being spat out.

“Ew!” It tasted of flat coke and blended tuna and goat’s brains!

Despite the taste I kept my search and soon spotted a forest so I began searching for life; however last time I found a planet and searched for life I was attacked by a sabre tooth elephant! Anyway I found footprints it led up a tree and it belonged to a red jelly with legs is the best way to describe it. The two suns began to set so I made my way to the time machine. Remember the tests? Well, they say the leaves are edible so I scoffed the lot in my mouth as though there was no more food but to be honest there wasn’t/
